16 Elements Web Site Designers Should Include

When I first started out doing web design work I only focused on the design. I did not think ahead how to prepare the site for promotion until I had finished the actual design.

I think a lot of web designers still think and act this way…they build the site first then think about the marketing aspect later.

This is a big mistake!

A web designer should build elements within the design making it easier to attract search engine traffic.

16 elements web site designers should include in their designs:

Should Web Site Designers Include Web Marketing For Free?

I often get calls from people asking for free web marketing help. Since I’m a nice guy and like helping others I’ll gladly provide help if time allows. Sometimes the caller will keep calling thinking I provide unlimited free help.

Well, I wish I could work for free but since web site design is my full time occupation I need to pay the bills otherwise my wife would throw me out of the house:-).

Web Design customers often assume extras are included in the design proposal. They often ask me to design another page, create a contact form or include search engine optimization as part of the proposal and expect to get it for free.

Web Content Management Systems

A Web Content Management System is a type of Content management system software used for managing websites.

The software manages content (text, graphics, links, etc.) for distribution on a web server. Usually the software provides tools where users with little or no knowledge of programming languages (such as HTML) can create and manage content with relative ease of use.

Most systems use a database to hold content, and a presentation layer displays the content to regular website visitors based on a set of templates. Management of the software is typically done through a web browser, but some systems may be modified in other ways. (Source wikipedia.org)
