How to Add a Site Map to Your Word Press Blog
Blogs are meant to make it easy to find information however I find them still somewhat awkward to navigate sometimes. I will search through the recent posts, categories, archives and finally enter my keyword in the search box (maybe I should have
done this first) before I find the specific topic. Some blogs have posts that are not even related to the blog’s title.
Adding a Site Map to your blog makes it incredibly easy for any visitor to quickly scan all the categories and posts of your blog. All the information from your blog can be neatly arranged in a vertical order down your site map page. Your posts are automatically placed under their appropriate categories.

Sitemap Generator Plug-in for Wordpress
This plug-in provides a sitemap which is highly customizable from the options page in the Word Press admin panel. Features
include:
-support for multi-level categories and pages
-category/page exclusion
-multiple-page generation with navigation
-permalink support
-choose what to display
-what order to list items in
-show comment counts and/or post dates
The plug-in also allows you to create a sitemap for your 404 error page.
Tips
Search engines typically spider the home page of your web site or just a few levels down. Having a sitemap page linked from your
page allows the search engines to spider all your database driven pages.
Make sure you also create a Google Site Map as this will also help your pages to be indexed by the search engines.
