How To Make A Slideshow Online For YouTube (with pictures and music)

The video editor on YouTube doesn’t allow you to create a slideshow or add images, so what’s the solution?

In the video below you’ll learn the steps to make a slideshow online for YouTube with pictures and music, using a free online video editor.

Here’s how to make a slideshow for YouTube using a free online video editor called Kapwing

Step 1
Go to the free online video editor called Kapwing,
– click on Tools, c
– click studio,
– click get started,
– click start with a blank canvas.

Step 2.
Select the output size for your slideshow.

– You can select 1:1 which is good for Instagram, 9:16 which is good for Instagram stories, 16:9 which is great for YouTube, so let’s do that one.
– Add a number of scenes for the different images or videos you wish to put together. I’m going to add five scenes.

Step 3.
Upload images

– click to upload or you can drag and drop. Alternatively, you can paste an image enter your video url.
– Here’s a folder containing my images,
– highlight an image,
– click open.
– Let’s upload an image.

Step 4.
Adjust image

– click adjust if you want to change the opacity, brightness, contrast, saturation or blur of the image or video clip

Step 5.
Crop image or video clip

– click crop. I can select Instagram post, YouTube widescreen, Instagram & Snap Story, LinkedIn Mobile, Facebook/Twitter portrait, Facebook/Twitter landscape, Facebook cover photo. This is for YouTube so I’m going to select YouTube widescreen.
– position the image how I want it.
– click done cropping.
– You can just take the handles and then just position how I want it.

Step 6.
Change timing of image or video

– I can also change the timing of the image to one second or if I click the drop-down, I can select 2 seconds, 5 seconds, 10 seconds or custom. I’m going to do 2 seconds.
– click the trash icon if you want to remove the image or you can duplicate it.
– Repeat this process for all the other images

Keep in mind, you can also add text or shapes if you wish.

– I can add a shape to an image or video clip on and change the color of the shapes.
– click on the timeline, to adjust the time from one second to two seconds, – When you’ve finished click “done”.
– Finally, I want to put a video at the end, so I’m going to click add a scene. – Click on “add scene
– click upload,
– select the video clip
– click open.
– click crop..it looks pretty good,
– click done cropping.

Step 6.
Rearrange the images and video clip

I can also rearrange these photos and video how I want by just dragging and dropping.

Step 7.
Add audio

– To add some audio to it, I click on audio to upload audio
– I’m going to go to the YouTube audio library and select some copyright free music. Here I am at the YouTube audio library, which you can go to youtube.com/audiolibrary.
– I select “work out freedom trail studio”
– click download.
– click done.

Step 8.
Publish the slideshow

– I can click share, save draft or publish.
– Let’s publish the slideshow,
– It says your content is being processed. It’ll take a few minutes for the slideshow to be processed

Step 9.
Remove watermark

– Notice that I’ve got the Kapwing watermark on there, so I want to get rid of that by signing in to my Kapwing account
– Sign in to Kapwing to remove watermark,
– Click continue with Google.
– It says “Your watermark-free content is being processed. You just have to sign up for a free account to get your watermark removed.
– Okay, now you can see that the Kapwing watermark has been removed.

Step 10.
Share the slideshow on social media

– I can download the video, edit it again to add some more slides, make a copy, send it to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or I can copy the link. It
– gives me a link where the slideshow is actually stored on Kapwing.
