Ebooks are a great way to make money on the Net because they are easy to write and deliver, plus you keep 100% of the profits if you write it yourself. The most difficult part is designing the landing page and writing the sales copy.

Ebook Sales Page

The reason I did it this way was to capitalize on the traffic generated by my web design site since it receives over 60,000 unique visitors each month (last time I checked). This helps get the landing page indexed almost immediately by the search engines and gain high rankings (it’s currently ranking No 2 on Google for “website promotion” out of 15 million results).

Sales Page Strategies – Which Model Works Best to Sell Your Ebook? Part 2

4. Sales page within blog

Visitors get introduced to your ebook with every post you write. The sales page can be created within the blog as a static page.

If the blog attracts lots of visitors your ebook will get lots of exposure.

The downside of this method is that you won’t brand the domain with your ebook. For example it’s easier to remember www.domain.com rather than www.domain.com/rebook. if you create an affiliate program it will also be easier for your affiliates to remember the domain. You could also sell the domain for a high price if it becomes very popular.

5. Sales page within web site

If your web site gets high rankings and lots of visitors you could create the sales page within a directory folder of the web site then link to this page from other pages within your site. This would quickly drive traffic to this page.

The downside is that you would not be branding a separate domain name for your product.

6. Combination

Use a combination of the points mentioned above. Use a unique domain for your rebook sales page (for branding), create a blog targeted towards your rebook topic, drive traffic to your sales page from your other sites and blogs.

Use other methods of driving traffic to your sales page erg. articles, Google ads, ezine ads, press releases, social media sites, forums, blogs, discussion groups.

Whatever sales page strategies you use depends on your personal preference. Instead of wasting precious marketing time and losing sales, decide on the best method that fits your circumstances then go with it.

Keep testing what works best to increase your conversion rates.
