Part 1 – Top 7 Ways to Overcome Writer’s Block
Part 2
4. Subscribe to Google Alerts
Google alerts sends you email updates of the latest relevant Google results based on your choice of query or topic. You can schedule how often you wish to receive them…daily or weekly. Scanning and reading these topics gives you content to generate new articles plus you stay up to date on the latest news surrounding your chosen topic.
5. Join an online community or discussion group
On your own new content doesn’t always come easily. If you join an online community you can share content with others. Interacting with others helps generate new ideas you can write about.
6. Keep a notebook or recorder handy
New ideas can pop into your mind anytime. A small notepad will come in handy for jotting down new topics you think of during the day. Keep a small recorder in your car to record new ideas while driving.
7. Just do it
Sometimes the best way to produce new content is to just start writing on any topic. It can be a letter to your friend or relative or a topic you feel passionate about. Don’t worry too much about the content. The most important thing is to begin writing, then ideas will begin to flow. You can always correct the sentence structure, spelling and grammar later. Leave the article for a few hours or days then come back to it. You will see it differently and want to add new material or edit the current content. This will improve its overall quality and get more readers to view it.
Conclusion
Not all the above ideas will apply because each person is different. It’s important to find what works for you then apply it whenever you get writer’s block. Overcoming writer’s block will enable you to write more articles in less time.
