Word Press automatically pings one or more servers each time the you write a new post (or update an old one.) The tool sends an XML-RPC signal to one or more “ping servers,” which generates a list of blogs that contain new material.

If you use the PodPress plugin for Word Press your Podcast will automatically get pinged each time you add a new one.

You can also add a list of ping services to your Word Press site.
Here’s how to do it:

-Log in to the admin panel and click on the “options” tab
-Click on the “writing” tab
-Find the “update services” heading.
-Add your list of ping services to the text box
-Click “update options” to save the changes.

3. Subscribe to your own Podcast

Subscribe to your Podcast in Yahoo, AOL, MSN, Google Reader, Bloglines and any other online service you can think of. If one customer subscribes to a feed, the service will know that feed exists. This means your feed will be indexed by that service.

4. Write and submit articles

Write a 300-500 word article about your Podcast. Remember to include keywords related to the content in your Podcast. Add this article to your web site or blog. Submit your article to article syndication sites with a link in the resource box pointing to the URL of your Podcast.
