If you have a content site or blog that has lots of content then strategically placing Google AdSense Ads on it will make you money 24 hours a day. Now intially you may only produce a few cents a day because it takes time to build traffic, however if you are willing to put effort into it you can increase your adsense revenue substantially.
How to get started
1. Open a Google Adsense account
2. Choose the product you’d like to add to your site.
You have a choice of:
A) Adsense for content – these display ads are targeted to the unique content on your site. This is the most popular choice. You can choose ad units or link units or include both.
These contain either text ads or image ads that are targeted to your site’s content. Ad units contain either text ads, image ads, or both. The ads are targeted to the content of your page using contextual and site targeting.
Each link unit displays a list of topics that are relevant to your page. When users click a topic, they’re brought to a page of related ads.
B) AdSense for search
Place a search box on your site that earns revenue from ads relevant to search terms people use.
Generate adsense revenue by referring users to useful products and services. Most people tend to just use Adsense for Content but you can use all 3 products to increase your revenue.
3. Choose format and colors
If you chose adsense for content then you can customize the way your ad will display on your site. You are presented with many different formats ie
Vertical and Horizontal Banners
-Select the one that is best fits your site (I’ll talk later about what ads are best and where to place them).
-Choose a color for your ad that blends well with your web page.
If you have a new account the ad may take a few minutes or hours before it appears or may not display ads related to your site’s content. Be patient and soon you will see relevant ads.
As your site’s traffic increases so will your adsense revenue. You can check the how much revenue you are making by logging in to your Adsense account.
