This is one of the bigger sites for free stock videos. You can just enter a keyword on the search box, look on the popular videos, popular searches or new free videos. It also has free stock photos shared by talented photographers. The license says that all videos are all licensed under Creative Commons Zero license which means that you can edit or change the videos and use them free for personal and even for commercial projects. All without asking for permission or setting a link to the source, so that attribution is not required.

Stock footage 4 free as professionals called it Stop footage and video. It says that our footage comes with a royalty-free license allowing you to use it in all types of productions for worldwide distribution. It also has a search box and you’ve got a whole bunch of categories here on the right.

One of the frequently asked questions is, “Am I allowed to use your footage for a commercial purpose?” Their answer is, yes, you are permitted by our license agreement to use our footage commercially as long as you are adding substantial value to the footage.

If I use your footage, do I have to give you credit? Their answer is, no, you do not. If you’d like to, you may, but it is not required in our license agreement.

3. Pixabay

Pixabay has over 1.6 million royalty-free stock photos and videos shared by the community. It also got a great search box. It could be searched for stunning free videos. It got photos, illustrations, vector graphics and videos and more.

At the bottom of the page it says, all contents are released under the Pixabay license which makes them safe to use without asking for permission or giving credit to the artist, even for commercial purposes.

Cover is another great free stock video footage site where you can search for free to use videos.

According to their license, all videos published on Covver can be used for free. You can use them for commercial purposes and non-commercial purposes. You don’t have to ask for permission from or provide credit to the videographer or Covver.co. Although, it is appreciated when possible.

5. Videvo.

Videvo contains thousands of free stock videos, motion graphics, music tracks, and sound effects all in one place. You can enter a keyword and click the drop-down for the kind of video footage that you wish, your footage, motion graphics, music, sound effects, and a premium collection. Down the bottom here it says, when you download royalty-free content from Videvo, you can use that content as many times as you like and in as many projects as you like forever. There’s also no need to give credit to the artist in your final production.

Here it says, each clip is displayed on the clip download page on the top section on the right-hand side of the video player. On this example, this video clip has a Creative Commons license which you can use it for all projects and medium. When you use a site just make sure that you check the license before you download the video clip.

6. Videzzy.

Videzzy has free HD stock footage and 4k videos. You can browse by newest or browse by category. Here you got some popular new video footage, valentines day footage, after effects templates. Let’s search “cats”, at the top here it got sponsored videos by Shutterstock. You don’t want to choose those because you will be paying for the clips.

Over here on the left, you can swap by best match, newest, file type, license type. If you want to get free clips, I will go for Creative Commons. Just click on one of these videos you will see the license info under the clip. Creative Commons buying, you’re free to use this file however you want, but you must provide proper attribution according to the Creative Commons guidelines. Just make sure you check the license before downloading any video clips from the site. Use the Creative Commons license so you can just give attribution.

7. Pond5.

Pond5 is mostly a paid site for getting royalty-free stock video footage. It also contains free stock video footage. Just make sure that you always check the license.

Motion Places is a great place to get free stock video footage from many different places like New York City, Los Angeles, London et cetera. On the license and terms page, it says, footage are provided under a royalty-free license. We retain the copyright, you cant re-sell the footage or make it available for download. If you are using free clips, you must credit Motion Places as a footage source and link to www.motionplaces.com.

If you download any footage from Motion Places make sure you give credit to Motion Places.
