How To Find A YouTube Video Without Knowing The Name

Have you ever tried to find a video you’ve forgot the name of?

I’m going to show you how to find a video you can’t remember, whether it’s on somebody else’s channel or your own channel. You’ll learn how to find it using YouTube search, Google search, and the filters option.

If you want to find a specific video on your channel using YouTube search, just enter your channel name plus keywords in the search box. For instance, I my channel name is Drost Video, and then I add the keywords rank on YouTube, and then click search. This results in all my videos being listed about how to rank on YouTube.

If I want to find all my videos about how to get discovered on YouTube, I just enter the keywords, get discovered on YouTube in YouTube Search, click search. Now my videos and playlists are listed about how to get discovered on YouTube.

You can do the same for other channels.

For instance, if I enter “Crowley crew canon m50,” in YouTube Search and click search, I can view all the M50 tutorials on this person’s channel.

Use YouTube Search Filter

If I click filter, then I can show the videos for this week, this month, this year. I can also click on video, channel. or playlists. Here is my playlist on how to get discovered on YouTube. I can select duration less than four minutes; long, greater than 20 minutes. These are all my live streams.

Use Google search

I’m going to enter my channel name in Google Search, Drost Video, and then my keywords, rank on YouTube then Click search. Now I can see all my videos in Google search related to how to rank on YouTube.

Let’s try to find videos on using the keyword phrase..get discovered on YouTube. If I click search I can see my videos about how to get discovered on YouTube. You can do the same for any channel if you know the name of. You can also select videos to give you more specific videos, and you can also select images. It will show you the thumbnail images.

Let’s check somebody else’s channel.

Enter “Crowley crew canon m50.” Crowley crew is the channel name, and canon M50 are the keywords. Click Google search. In the video carousel, you can see all the videos related to M50 for this channel. It also shows the channel name at the top of the search results. Click on videos. Then it shows all his videos. Click on images. Then it’ll show me the thumbnails from his channel.

Here’s how to find a video in YouTube search using the exact title.

If you know the exact title of a YouTube video, just enter intitle: then the title of the video. Click search. Here’s my video with a title “How To Livestream on YouTube Mobile.”

You can also use the same method to see if others are using the same title as you have chosen for your video. If no one is using the same title, you have a great opportunity to rank for that particular keyword phrase.

How do you find a YouTube channel you can’t remember the name of?

Enter your keyword, for example drost, channel. Click search, and here’s my channel.

How do I quickly find a video from my channel from this year that is longer than 20 minutes?

I just enter the keyword from a channel, video, rank on YouTube with the keywords for my video, long, means it’s longer than 20 minutes, so it’d be a live stream, this year. Click search. Now I see all the live streams on my channel about how to rank on YouTube. As you notice, they’re all longer than 20 minutes.

Here’s how to quickly find a YouTube video within my own channel without knowing the name.

  • Log into YouTube channel,
  • Click on YouTube studio,
  • Click videos.
    Now you’ll see a list of your recently uploaded videos.
  • If you click on live, you’ll see a list of your recently published live streams.
  • If you click on stories, you’ll see a list of your recently published stories if you have stories enabled.

    You can also use the filter option.
  • Click on filter
    You can filter by copyright, claims, description, monetization, title, views, and visibility.
  • I’m going to click on title.
    I’m just going to enter the keyword rank on YouTube,
  • Click apply,
    I see all my videos about how to rank on YouTube.
  • I can do the same for my live stream videos
    I can filter by description, monetization, monetized, not monetized, limited; views, greater than or less than; and visibility, public, private, unlisted, scheduled or draft.

Now you know how to quickly find a YouTube video or YouTube channel without knowing its name.

Here are 3 tips for your channel and videos to be discovered in the search results.

  1. Include general keywords and your channel settings.
    – Just go to YouTube studio,
    – Click on settings,
    – Select channel.
    – Enter keywords that represent your channel.
  2. Include your main keywords and your title description tags before you upload a new video.
  3. Make it magnetic thumbnail so your video stands out in the search results.
