How To Use YouTube To Get Leads And Grow Your Email List On Autopilot

Are you a business or product owner that’s struggling to generate leads for your business or product?

Do you want to create an automated lead generation machine?

Watch the video below to learn how to use YouTube to get leads 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year after year, on autopilot.

Why use YouTube?
1. It’s the second largest search engine on the net after Google.
Five billion videos are watched every day on YouTube. 400 hours of video are uploaded every minute. 500 million views come from mobile devices.

2. Your videos can be discovered in YouTube search, YouTube suggested and even Google search.
This means you get traffic from three different sources.

3. Video creates more engagement than plain text.
The fact that you can use motion, sound and showing your face creates far better engagement than just plain text. It’s also a much better way to create a rapport with your audience.

4. Video builds trust and credibility.
It enables you to almost have a one-on-one conversation with your audience, so they know, like and trust you. This helps boost your conversion rates. Number five, make money on autopilot. Once you’ve created this evergreen money-making machine, you can make money over and over again. If you follow up with the leads that you get from YouTube videos, you can recommend your products and services to your audience.

Here are the 5 requirements to capture leads from YouTube.

  1. Lead magnet.
This can be a free report, e-book, cheat sheet or even short video course. One of the easiest ways to create a free report or a free cheat sheet, is to use the free online graphics software canva.com. It contains a ton of free templates that you can easily modify to your liking.

I use software called Designrr to quickly and easily create an e-book online in just a few minutes. Click here to watch how I use Designrr to create an e-book online in 30 seconds
  2. Landing page or website.
When you offer a free lead magnet such as a free report or a free cheat sheet, you also have to create a landing page to hold that free report.

A fast and easy way to create a landing page is to use the Thrive Architect plugin for WordPress.

Alternatively, you can pay for a monthly subscription to Click Funnels which will give you lots of templates for your landing pages. Now that you created your lead magnet to put on your landing page, you need a home for your landing page.
  3. Domain name and web hosting.
A domain name is a website address that is short and easy to remember. For example, the domain name of my blog is drostdesigns.com A quick and easy way to register a domain name and to get web hosting is to go to GoDaddy. You can find and register a domain name for about 20 bucks.

Web hosting for your landing page or website will cost you an extra few dollars per month.

If you don’t want to register a domain name or pay for web hosting, you can use something like AWeber to build a landing page, you just won’t have an easy-to-remember website address. An alternative to WordPress for your landing page is to use a paid subscription service like Click Funnels.

Now that you have your lead magnet, landing page, domain name and web hosting all sorted out, it’s time to create engaging videos.
  4. Create an engaging video.
There’s three parts to creating an engaging video. The first part is to create a hook. This can be a question or a teaser about what’s coming up at the end of the video. For example, a question could be, “Do you want to know how to use YouTube to get more leads?

An example of a teaser could be, “Stay tuned to the end of the video, to download for free my video evaluation cheat sheet.” After you’ve created your hook, dive into the meat of your content. This can include several bullet points that answers the most burning questions of your audience.

The last part should be a strong call-to-action that tells people to download your free cheat sheet or free report. You can link to the free download in a card, in-screen or place a link in the description below your video.

If you want to link to a landing page or website from a card or in-screen you need to associate your website with YouTube account. To do this, you must meet the requirements of the YouTube partner program of 4,000 hours and 1,000 subscribers in the past twelve months. Now that you’ve created an engaging video and a strong call-to-action, it’s time to capture those leads with an email autoresponder, so you can build an email list.
  5. Email autoresponder or email list provider.
The purpose of the email list provider or the email autoresponder is to capture those leads and build an email list. One of the best and most reliable e-mail autoresponders is AWeber, which I’ve been using for years. It has one of the highest delivery rates and you can easily set up an email capture form on your website or landing page. You can also schedule your e-mails to go out any day you like. I’ll place a link in the description to my blog post review of AWeber.

After viewers submit their contact information, in exchange for the free download, you can start building your email list on autopilot. Every time someone watches your video and grabs a free download, you’ll be adding people to your email list.

Now you’ve set up an evergreen lead generation machine. As you build up your email list by redirecting viewers from your videos to your landing page, you will be able to recommend your products and services to them. Just make sure that your products and services are in alignment with the content of your videos.

Here are 5 important things to keep in mind.

1. Create a lead magnet that’s related to the content of your video.
If it’s clear that your lead magnet solves your viewers’ problems, they’ll be motivated to download it.

2. Create a series of follow-up emails.
Your new subscribers are not going to purchase your products and services right away, you need to build up relationships with them first so they know, like and trust you before you recommend your products and your services. You can do this by scheduling a series of follow-up emails that dives deeper into your content.

3. You don’t need thousands subscribers on your channel to generate leads.
You can even create a lead generation machine from a small channel.

4. You do the work once and reap the benefits over and over.
Once you set up your lead generation machine, it can be working for you 24 hours a day, seven days a week, year after year on autopilot. That’s a beautiful thing indeed. You can create more of these little funnels with different types of lead magnets.

5. Get your videos ranked on the first page of YouTube and Google.
